We wish to invite You to a new circus-themed festival in Helsinki, Finland October 17.-20.

Object - Festival for people, objects and circus

Back in 1999 we started 531 Festival of New and Experimental Juggling in Helsinki. During the history of the festival we had a chance to invite and host some of the most inspiring figures in juggling and object arts. It was always a small one-weekend event, but one with strong energy and focus.

During the last 10 years it has proven progressively more and more difficult to find juggling-specific performances that genuinely provide something fresh and new. We also have a shared feeling that we witnessed a truly innovative period of juggling history pass. At the same time our personal journeys have led us beyond mere juggling and object work. So it was time to head for something new. So it is with excitement that we invite you to come and witness this first edition of our new festival.

Program will consist of meetings, talks, lectures, films, DJ-concerts, great cocktails and circus performances. Guest of honour this October will be Anatolii Zalevskyi who stormed the circus world with his handstand act in the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain back in 1998.

The theme of this first edition will be processes: personal, professional, investigative, doomed-to-fail - but processes nonetheless!
